The majority of the restaurants and cafes that I design are for small independent owners. These are my favorite type as I really can make a difference. I like nothing better than at the end of the project seeing the space full of people and the tills ringing! This is after all what it is all about, and the reason that a client will come to use my services in the first place. I pride myself in always over delivering on every project and building a solid client relationship.

The key to a successful bar interior design is the flow of people in and out of the door, and how to get people to spend their money in your branded environment. I work closely alongside you at the beginning of the project highlighting key issues, including your brand competition, location, and space planning. Only until I have a solid understanding of these factors, I then progress to the interior design of the space. I can produce drawings for planning and licensing and will work with your contractor or quantity surveyor from the outset. A full cost breakdown of furniture and fittings is supplied along with specialist drawings and project delivery. Whether it’s a concept only service or a full design service, Studiopublic offers a great solution at a great price.
Whether it’s a complete refurbishment of your property, or simply some advice on colour theory, my home interior design service can really help you. I offer advice on space planning, re-configuring your bedroom layouts, adding an extension, loft conversion, or general home interiors. Interior Architecture I work with architects and structural designers from the outset. [...]
Mustard and Rye in Truro is a large space. WIth a bar to the front and a 96 seater restaurant to the rear, it also has a large Speakeasy late lounge upstairs. The design and branding had to incorporate the spaces as being separate but part of the same offering. The large open dining area was designed to allow for zoning, creating pockets of individuality, making the space seem larger than it is. Full interior and branding service, including tender / planning drawings, FF&E, supply, on site management and delivery.
Morrishs fish and chips is an established family business. I was asked to look at the interior design of an extension they were building, including how best to utilise the space and lighting design. The design is a complete change to the existing space that they have, sitting well with the new branding and website that we created. The family has seen a marked increase in the number of visitors due to the extension and it has received great reviews.
The existing bar of this large hotel was old and divided the public areas into two. The bar was knocked out, structural steels inserted and an overall design scheme created. The bar had to become the centre of the space, a destination point, and the oval design allows interaction with the other public spaces. Studiopublic came in on a consultancy basis, working with the director to create the scheme and produce working drawings. A very successful space.
An existing and extremely successful cafe/ restaurant approached us as they wanted to open a new flagship store on the main shopping road in Plymouth City centre. The design had to work with their existing brand but also create a blueprint for future stores throughout the Southwest. A great project and a great client, we wish them every success and look forward to the next few!
